My name is Mr. Coulson, aka your Captain. While I have a passion for design I have an even greater passion in seeing other individuals learn and love great design. I have taught graphic design and photography for 8 years. I went to school at Iowa State University (go Cyclones!!) where I studied graphic design along with a little bit of architecture. I worked professionally doing design in Chicago for a few years before realizing how I missed the aspect learning and teaching design with others. That along with my family brought me to the Colorado and The University of Denver where I received my teaching license and Master’s Degree.

Eventually my teaching experience led me to realize the fact that school doesn’t have to be boring! What if motivated because you wanted to be. Grades shouldn’t  be the best motivation. Parents aren’t the best motivation. Your teachers aren’t the best motivational factor in life either.

YOU ARE.

You have to want to do something to succeed at it.

I created Creative Crusade in 2012 and our game has been growing and evolving ever since to help create a new a better way to learn. You won’t only be participating in the game, you will also be part of fixing it and always making it better.

We are about to embark on a journey together that will assist you in finding your own motivation. This journey is bigger than any of us individually as it will also revolutionize education as we know it. Very simple…let’s make learning fun!
