[questpage] Visitor, this epic quest could be either a self-created fictitious event of a real-life event, past, present, or future.  Is it a concert, convention, speaker, musical, championship, grand opening, art show, public service announcement, or almost anything else you can come up with within the boundaries of social acceptance and school appropriateness. Requirements:

• Select an Event you want to promote, fictitious or real
• While research is okay I often encourage student to avoid to much as these designs can easily stifle you ideas and turn into plagiarism, even if accidental.
• Develop a design concept (design idea). This doesn’t need to be what the design will look like but rather what the design is based on. Its often the “Why” of your design idea. Reference this source “Vanseo Design,” for clearer explanation of what a design concept is and how to create one.
• Define all required information that MUST be included in your poster, such as: Dates, Locations, Prices, Titles, etc.
• 13″ x 19″ document size

When designing your poster I want to see utilization of the Principles and Elements. you will need to document some of this on your blog.

Completion: To complete this quest you need to create the finished poster, post it to your blog as a thumbnail. Then reflect upon how you decided upon your final design and what obsticles or diffculties you encountered.

Mastery: In addition to completing your design and posting it on your blog your will need to create a formal artist statement about your design and your design process. A great design is not simple made but instead developed and redeveloped. Take it the extra 10% past being done. Research how to write an artist statement and post it with your final design.
