Why are we still copying Rob’s design?
Its time to change things up and put some legitimate work into your own magazine cover design.
You need to head back to those sketchbook design ideas you built a couple classes ago! It’s time to refine a design idea of your choice and plan out your design execution.
- Select a design idea from your sketches
- resketch that “winning” design in a couple of new variations with a bit more attention given to the layout size of design elements, imagery, words, etc.
- Beginning collecting or planning on how you will get the imagery you are going to you. ALL IMAGERY MUST BE YOURS OR GIVEN TO YOU WITH DIRECT PERMISSION TO USE.
- Begin building your design using skills you have recently gained in Photoshop and, with my permission, more advanced skills you would like to explore in your design idea. I am open-minded so hopefully, you are as well.
SPEND AT LEAST ONE OR TWO FULL CLASSES BEGINNING TO DEVELOP AND BUILD YOUR DESIGN BEFORE POSTING A “WORK IN PROGRESS” (WIP) SCREESHOT OF YOUR PROGRESS TO THEN CONTINUE ONTO THE NEXT QUEST, 313-315.
