This week we will move on to a more significant Project Quest.
Each of you will be creating a minimalist poster design using a skeleton Design process to prepare you for your final project of the semester.
The Quest in its entirety will be live next class, but for now you have two task before engaging that quest.
- I want you to research what minimalist design is. Keep in mind we are most interested in minimalist graphic design though minimalist design encompasses many very interesting creative worlds. You might start by checking out this amazing collection of minimalist poster designs on pinterest.
(record all your research on a NEW PROJECT PAGE with notes images and links.) - Decide what book, movie, or performance you are interested in designing a poster for.
Begin Your Design Process – In your Sketchbook
If you believe you have a good general understanding of where you might want to go with this project then you may begin the first stages of the design process (more details to come):
- research your chosen subject
- begin brainstorming visual ideas related to the key elements of the story.
